You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Global Deterrence Defense Dept (GX), Strategic Systems Guidance, Navigation, & Control (GXP), Test & Measurement Equipment Branch (GXPQ) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties
You will serve as an Electronics Technician in Test, Measurement and Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE) Branch of Strategic Systems Guidance, Navigation and Control Division at NSWC Crane Division.
You will serve as the TMDE Technical Lead in the Strategic System Program TMDE Life Cycle Support Program for Configuration Support Manager responsibilities.
You will lead a team to conduct technical reviews for TMDE which includes determining specifications/accuracy ratios and ensuring technical rigor for TMDE used for Columbia/Dreadnought Shipyard/Construction and Ohio/Vanguard Sustainment efforts.
You will interface with many prime contractors pertaining to TMDE performance requirements, specifications, qualifications, certifications and test requirements for the strategic weapon system and shipyard/construction operations.
You will also interface with NSWC Corona to establish calibration support and NSWC Crane personnel to ensure adequate recommendations are provided to customers.
You will engage on a diverse project team within NSWC Crane as well as customers external to NSWC Crane.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band,
NT-04 GS-11/12 equivalent grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering leadership and guidance to lead technical engineering support on corrective and preventative maintenance of navigation systems to meet operational standards for technological advancement and sustainment of the fleet.
