You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Airborne Electronics Attack Systems Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).
Duties
You will serve as the Airborne Electronic Attack Systems Division (AEASD) Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Level II Lead Technician.
You will provide program support to include ALQ-99, ALQ-249, ALQ-218 and various other complex composite systems and radomes.
You will oversee, train, mentor and provide technical guidance to Level I and II personnel.
You will be responsible for monitoring project schedules and coordinating efforts between multiple personnel within various NSWC Crane divisions, external Program Offices, Fleet Support Teams (FSTs) and Original Equipment Manufacturer activities.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
- You will be required to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds in weight.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing, developing, and utilizing engineering methods and procedures to assess electrical systems, subsystems, or components to provide technical direction on Non-Destructive Inspections (NDI) for airborne attack systems.
