You will serve as the Program Executive Office (PEO) Integrated Weapons Systems (IWS) Program Manager in the Machinery Programs and Platforms Department of (NSWC PHILA DIV).

Duties

You will coordinate and plan all programmatic meetings and program reviews with the customer, Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) technical codes, and various stakeholders. You will manage workload and resourcing to budget allocations, and adapting to budget changes. You will develop proposals for each fiscal year and consolidates this information into Task Planning Sheets (TPSs) and/or Integrated Task Management Plans (ITMPs). You will manage the interdependencies between project requirements and personnel resources, while meeting customer priorities. You will report status/schedule to the sponsor and keeps them abreast of all program tasking. You will maintain close liaison with platform mangers, Technical Warrant Holders (TWH), Ship Design Managers (SDM), and other stakeholders to develop these program strategies in the analysis and execution of assigned program/projects. You will coordinate, integrate and monitor programmatic efforts to ensure program requirements are achieved, and command resources are efficiently deployed in accomplishing program objectives and goals. You will remain abreast of new system research and development efforts and new equipment techniques of potential value and application to assigned program systems and area of expertise.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating the management and analysis of an engineering project or program to ensure quality, cost, schedule, and technical requirements are met.
