You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) within NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER. #LI-NAVSUPBSC

Duties

You will be responsible for Information Technology (IT) analysis, programming, testing, implementation, coordination, and maintenance. You will research applicable regulations, standards, and policies governing a variety of topics such as system performance, processing conditions, etc. You will integrate portions of the System Specifications (SS) or similar documents that were developed or modified by team members into the final design document. You will provide technical advice, assistance, and direction to customers, Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs) and IT personnel on a variety of IT matters related to special projects, issues, and/or technical documents.

Requirements

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 621, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Designing, developing, and modifying program logic and modifying program specifications or similar documents; 2) Applying knowledge of agile software development lifecycle processes; 3) Working within the full technology stack to include front end, mid-tier, and backend development and understanding Operating System (OS) requirements; 4) Performing or assisting with server and network configuration, database backups, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs); 5) Providing technical advice, assistance, and direction to customers, sponsors, user representatives, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Information Technology (IT) personnel on a wide variety of IT related subjects; 6) Establishing and executing plans for Quality Assurance (QA); and 7) Guiding and mentoring junior developers, assisting them in their work, and assigning, integrating, coordinating, and monitoring work products from team members. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
