You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the AUV Ocean Collections Division, Ocean Projects Department, Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Duties
You will be responsible for establishing a worldwide Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) survey program.
You will be responsible for developing new guidelines in a rapidly evolving field that has extensive impact on Navy and other national programs.
You will be responsible for integrating new ocean modeling, simulation, and visualization capabilities in support of AUV programs.
You will be responsible for conducting formal presentations at senior staff levels and at national and international scientific and technical conferences.
You will be responsible for coordinating complex, diverse project activities among multiple agencies and entities to upgrade ocean measurement technologies.
You will be responsible for planning or leading naval oceanographic surveys conducting a variety of oceanographic and environmental survey missions.
You will be responsible for interpreting data and implementing data sets that support shallow water ocean modeling and ocean prediction products.
You will be responsible for representing NAVOCEANO on committees and in conferences for oceanographic programs and to develop and establish techniques, guidelines and policies for oceanographic and geophysical data collection.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience planning and performing investigations to test and evaluate new Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) technologies and related engineering, AUV/UUV modeling, simulation and visualization technologies, and determines which are suitable for operational use.
Experience developing efforts to achieve new and unprecedented ocean survey capabilities using rapidly evolving AUV and sensor technologies.
Experience applying knowledge to ocean measurement platforms and sensors and related modeling, simulation, and visualization technologies.
Experience understanding diverse technical areas including computer hardware, computer systems, scientific visualization, computational models, geographic information, information systems, oceanographic and geophysical measurement systems, measurement platforms, and databases.
Experience communicating effectively with personnel at all levels including operational technicians, scientists, and engineers such as R&D personnel and management, agency management, and high-level DOD management.
