Duties

Serves within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Information Operations (J6), Program Executive Office (J62), DSS/WMS Portfolio (J62D). The incumbent functions as a senior systems analyst of a project/program support team and performs complex information technology (IT) systems assignments. Applies analytical processes to the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a variety of complex, critical software development and integration services to include... (cont.) Distribution Standard System (DSS), Warehouse Management System (WMS), and SAP. Work with customer functional proponents in their formulation of requirements that results in a new system design or major modification to Automated Information Systems (AIS). Performs “level of effort” assessment/ impact analysis in collaboration with customers, coworkers, and system users for fixes, enhancements, and other changes based on high level business requirements. Assists in the evaluation, selection, and integration of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and/or Government-off- the-shelf (GOTS) solutions.

Qualifications

To qualify for an IT Project Manager (SYSANALYSIS), your qualifications must include: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Developing, coordinating, operating, evaluating and executing Information Technology/ Operational Technology project management for various aspects of the assigned programs. Serving as a senior expert responsible for the coordination, implementation and oversight of various IT project management approaches, emerging IT acquisition strategies, and application of appropriate methodologies in conjunction with the analysis of performance measures and quality management. Evaluating and planning projects through consideration of all legal authorities and changing official policy, operating views and program information analysis. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
