About the Position: Serves as the Operations Officer for the Directorate of Public Works, supporting services on Fort Sill which include: Business Operations and Integration Division, Environmental, Master Planning, Engineering, Housing, Operations and Maintenance Division and Adminsitrative Support.
Duties
Function as the Directorate's Operations Officer who plans, manages, executes, and integrates the functions of the Directorate for the garrison.
Ensure facilities, training, equipment, of assigned personnel are properly assessed to meet the long-term goals of the garrison.
Assist in compiling, publishing, distributing, and overseeing a comprehensive analysis for each future program.
Consolidate data generated by internal and external agencies and studies utilizing advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis methods/techniques.
Integrate comprehensive DPW support for Garrison and higher headquarters recurring events, special functions, community relations programs, and ceremonies, including retirements, change of command, conferences, etc.
Coordinate all necessary support from the DPW directorate which includes different divisions and branches.
Consolidate and submit external problem areas for inclusion in the installation operations center lessons learned information systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating and conducting analyses of current projects, programs, and special studies; determining the need to develop policy plans and procedures; composing and preparing official memorandums and information to be disseminated to the workforce, or to upper management; interpreting and providing advice on directives, policies, or instructions from higher headquarters; and executing management strategic plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
