Duties
You will provide leaders/managers with independent and objective analysis for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects organizational operations and management by applying a full range of analytical steps.
You will gather through detailed research of program and policy documents, engagement with subject matter experts, life cycle cost estimates, and previous program evaluation results.
You will collect, maintain, store, and monitor research products for the surveillance of specific results and conditions related to MCDAPO efforts.
You will research products in progress for the identification of potential utility by other researchers across the enterprise and to mitigate risk as far as duplication of efforts as well as creating synergies and collaboration between researchers.
You will analyze, develop, and evaluate the effectiveness of program activities to meet the established goals of MCDAPO.
You will review, analyze, and evaluate proposed changes to mission and operating procedures utilizing methodologies based in cost analyses of projects or performs the same for current programs.
You will advise on the distribution of work, projects and studies among positions and organizations across the USMC and external services, and the appropriate staffing levels and skill mixes.
You will evaluate and collaborate with other Directorate staff on the organization, methods, and procedures for providing administrative support systems such as records, communications, directives, forms, files and documentation.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing research and analysis in response to questions or problem sets across traditionally disparate functional areas of an organization in order to communicate results in information papers, power-point briefs, and technical documents; analyze domains and functional areas of an organization that may impact readiness.
