About the Position: Performs administrative and technical tasks as an academic records clerk. Serves as class coordinator for all Army Sustainment University (ASU Courses including Officer, Noncommissioned Officer, Warrant Officer, Initial Military Training (IMT) and Professional Military Education (PME), and numerous functional courses, seminars, and refresher courses.
Duties
Advises on available courses, prerequisites, recommended college credits IAW the American Council on Education (ACE) accreditation criteria, enrollment eligibility, and funding/tuition procedures.
Provides quota utilization/enrollment information to course directors to help ensure maximum class fill rates.
Creates personnel files in various academic records systems to include the Digital Training Management System (DTMS) and the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) for resident and staff and faculty students.
Creates and retrieves hardcopy of grade sheets, class rosters, graduate rosters, deleted rosters, and set-back rosters for all resident and staff and faculty courses for history purposes.
Retrieves computerized printouts of actions processed daily and audits reports to ensure information has been processed by the system and is correct.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is required to travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time.
- A qualified typist is required.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) General administrative functions and procedures within an organization; (2) skill in development and dissemination of administrative directives; (3) consolidation of reports; management of correspondence, records, supply management and the preparation of personnel action request. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-5).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
