Duties
Serves as a Lead File Maintenance Assistant at a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) HQ facility. The primary purpose of this position is responsible for leading three or more GS-7s in operating personal computers to perform records search, data input, and data corrections in DeCA's Business Systems.
Position responsibilities include:
Understands DeCA's plans, mission and goals and effectively communicates strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and desired work products to team members.
Identifies major work events and sets milestones.
Utilizes task management systems to distribute and balance the workload among employees in accordance with established work flow or job specialization.
Identifies qualitative and quantitative information necessary and methods for gathering that information.
Maintains a current knowledge on procedures, policies, directives, etc.

To qualify for this position your resume and supporting documents must show that you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level or equivalent to at least GS-07 under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience:
Resolves price discrepancies, price rejects, i.e., items not yet approved for sale or items that were erroneously entered into the database.
Distribute and balance the workload among employees and provide on the job training.
Generate listings from agency business systems to monitor the accuracy of line item description, correct pricing information, and timeliness of actions processed.
You must also meet the following requirements by the announcement closing date:
Current and former federal employees in either the competitive or excepted service and current federal employees applying under VEOA eligibility are subject to time-in-grade. Current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment.
