About the Position: Performs administrative and technical tasks to manage academic records. Serves as class coordinator for all Quartermaster School (QMS) Courses. Advises officer, enlisted, and civilian students from all military services, contractors, agencies, staff and faculty to include school Directors, and installation training/civilian personnel officers.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience providing clerical support performing duties such as, answering phones, filing, proofreading/editing correspondence, providing customer service, timekeeping, maintaining databases or spreadsheets; preparing reports; utilizing office automation software/equipment to perform duties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business, Administrative Support Technology, etc. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementClericalManages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
