You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT) in the Customer Support Division. of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will be required to maintain a current knowledge of all governing guidelines to ensure on-going compliance relative to IS access. You will process file and maintain documentation and records associated with IS access and user accounts management. You will assist in the research and execution of IS asset management, configuration management, and deployment of IS technical solutions for the organization.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area level BASIC within 12 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Occasional overnight travel is required to attend training, technical meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. In addition, Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Resume must demonstrate the following specialized experience: Experience reviewing, validating, and standardizing a problem resolutions database. Experience encompasses providing advice, assisting, and troubleshooting complex problems to minimize interruptions. Experience identifying and anticipating server performance issues while initiating corrective or preventive actions. Experience coordinating the installation of new products or equipment, resolving installation problems, and addressing security vulnerabilities and risks to maintain system integrity and availability. Experience controlling and maintaining inventory, performing inventory reconciliation, managing loaned equipment, and processing adjustments during physical inventories. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: overseeing the implementation of programming specifications by monitoring program design, coding and debugging performed by contractors. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: determining customer requirements and assisting customers by recognizing and analyzing trends by providing instruction and orientation. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: contacting customers at the Help Desk Level that may include those who are skeptical or uncooperative, skilled in communication to relay instructions and represent the team in meetings within the organization. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: analyzing the types, frequency and solutions necessary to correct problems and improve help desk operational procedures. Education

Applicants may substitute education for experience in the following Situations:

Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree.

Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions

Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (https://www.ed.gov/). Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
