About the Position: Serves as the IMCOM Garrison Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Transition Services Manager (TSM). Responsible for managing resources, advising installation tenant units, and marketing the program. TAP is an Army wide program that provides transition and employment assistance to military personnel and their families.

Duties

As a Transition Services Manager, you are responsible for the following: Serves as the Transition Services Manager (TSM) and ensures timely and efficient delivery of TAP services to transitioning/retiring Soldiers, DA Civilians, and their family members. Establishes the installation's program goals, objectives, internal operating policies and procedures in support of Army policies and transitioning military personnel. Establish, assess, and utilize various marketing and promotional strategies to optimize effective marketing and public relations program at Fort Leavenworth. Design and produce an array of marketing activities and material for events. Conduct internal quality control to evaluate delivery of installation level training. Evaluate and provide feedback for contracted staff and external trainers. Plan and execute various training and hiring events that are relevant to Fort Leavenworth demographics. Conduct briefings and seminars on the advantages private industry and government organizations receive when working with TAP to hire transitioning military and their families.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5 % of the time.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
