About the Position: This position serves as a Financial Management Analyst for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. The Army's Face to the World, the one-stop focal point for Army FMS, and the international partner of choice in U.S. Security Assistance.
Duties
Interpret financial documents to recommend solutions to complex problems.
Serve as liaison for all command fiscal year-end and appropriation close-out issues.
Provide guidance on financial policies and requirements with specific emphasis on government accounting systems.
Participate in conferences to keep informed of current and proposed techniques related to financial management.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Percentage of time to be spent Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is 5%.
- The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position’s SCW certification level.
- Financial Management Certification Level 2: Members of the FM workforce must achieve the appropriate certification level for their positions within 2 years of notification of applicable certification requirements or the period of any extension.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing professional analysis and interpretation of financial statements and reports; serving as a liaison with a customer base that includes major subordinate commands, research development/engineering centers, and laboratories; developing methodologies to resolve problems for which no clear precedent exists; and providing guidance covering financial policies and requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
