The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first-level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Product Support section. Reports directly to the official Product Support Manager (PSM).
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Product Support Management, ensuring that logistics management complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Represents AFLCMC/HNC Product Support Manager (PSM) with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Oversees the activities of a LCL Integrated Product Team (IPT) for product support execution.

- This position is a Life Cycle Logistics Level II and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.
Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by the depth and quality level of experience to successfully perform the duties of a Logistics Management Specialist which includes: Developing goals and objectives that integrate organization and logistics management objectives; Advising and providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management; Establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships with internal branches as well as supported customers within Department of Defense( DoD), Military Branches, and other governmental agencies; Planning, organizing, and overseeing the sustainment and support activities required to field and maintain the readiness and
operational capability of assigned systems, subsystems, and components, including all functions related to system readiness, in support of the Program Manager's life cycle management responsibilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other governmental agencies that interface with and/or influence the systems acquisition process.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures; and of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.
Skill in providing wide range of advanced principles, concepts, procedures, standards, and techniques, and the techniques of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) sufficient to plan and execute complex and difficult product support program, and to apply new developments to issues for which previous techniques are frequently inadequate.
Skill to plan, organize, lead, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of system programs and/or equipment and integrate, analyze, and manage variety of acquisition functions as well as executing budgets, financial documentation, and contractual assistance for forecasting short- and long-term mission requirements.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
