You will serve as a AWARDS ASSISTANT in the Awards Office Branch of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Duties
You will assist the Awards Administrator, performing a variety of administrative functions concerning military and civilian personnel awards.
You will participate in developing new command policies, modifying governing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and reviewing new regulatory requirements.
You will develop and disseminate a variety of promotional materials and ideas to promote and stimulate Military Cash Awards Program/Beneficial Suggestion Program.
You will generate spreadsheets, conducts studies/research to obtain data from which to evaluate civilian and military awards program effectiveness.
You will assist in all phases of processing, preparing and recording award recommendations received from the staff and subordinate commands.
You will record all awards processed for personnel and units within Fleet Forces Command in the Awards Office Tracking System.
You will serve as Awards Office Supply Clerk.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- This is an obligated position. The former incumbent has return rights to this position under PL 86-585.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Performing a variety of administrative functions concerning military and civilian personnel awards.
Providing a variety of administrative and clerical support.
Conducting research to obtain data for which to evaluate the USFFC civilian and military awards program effectiveness.
Developing office automation to improve award process efficiency.
Preparing and analyzing a variety of statistical reports to depict program progress or to direct attention to specific program features.
Utilizing online databases to generate spreadsheets.
