You will serve as a Engineering Technician (Work Integration) in the Availability Work Integration Branch (Code 22X), Availability Support and
Planning Division (Code 220), Engineering Department (Code 200), of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Duties
You will act as representative for all conferences, daily and weekly planning and execution meetings as required and other related briefings and discussions specific to the schedule maintenance and development.
You will act as the manager's subject matter expert and liaison with team engineers and scheduling organization to verify that all related production and testing work are properly sequenced.
You will conduct additional test planning meetings and prepare and issue the list of scheduled and/or anticipated authorized tests.
You will work with integrated test engineers and project support engineers to ensure time adjudication of test procedure questions and development to avoid work/test delays.
You will assist in mapping technical sequences, test procedures to appropriate milestone and key events to ensure technically correct, timely and efficient execution.
You will monitor shipboard testing progress and take action to assure that testing is conducted in accordance with approved safety and technical requirements.
You will respond to major changes in schedules by assisting in the restructuring of the test program or schedule to meet new objectives or critical path requirements.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience planning and coordinating engineering technical support for surface ship maintenance systems, engineering, combat systems, installing, operations, alterations, maintenance, and readiness of shipboard equipment and services.
Experience consulting and advising project teams, managers, directors and commanding officers on methods and techniques associated with the overhaul/repair of shipboard mechanical and electrical engineering systems, overall aspects related to oversight of the Integrated Production and Test Schedules and the impact to ships systems Lead Maintenance Activity (LMAs).
Experience ensuring testing prerequisites that effect the ships restoration efforts are identified and authorized/ scheduled for completion and scheduling organizations to verify that all production, testing work, and activities are properly sequenced in the Integrated Production Schedule (IPS).
Experience monitoring and conducting shipboard testing progress in accordance with approved safety, technical requirements, and developing new methods to solve a variety of complex testing schedule problems.
Experience communicating technical knowledge to the complete spectrum of technical systems alterations, procedural and administrative changes and sufficient skills to apply knowledge to unusual and/or obscure engineering and/or technical problems.
