This vacancy is for a GS-0089-13, Emergency Management Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Office of Emergency Management and Disaster Response (CG-OEM), ALL-HAZARDS EXERCISE SUPPORT DIVISION (CG-OEM-4) , Washington, DC

Duties
You will serve as an Emegency Management Specialist and be responsible for supporting the Coast Guard and other agencies in designing, planning, executing, evaluating, and after-action-reporting for "all-hazards, all-threats" contingency exercises at the local, regional and national levels.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience must include the following: Applicant must meet all of the conditions below.
Supporting the development and management of operational planning activities during a response or incident; AND
Coordinates with Federal, state and/or local entities on various emergency preparedness programs; AND
Assists with planning and analyzing contingency exercise scenarios, or drills; AND
Collecting and analyzing information and presenting findings on complex program issues or problems.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
