You will serve as a SUPV HR SPEC (CLASS) in the Human Resources & Organizational Management Brach of the Administrative and Resources Division in the U.S. Marine Corps Headquarters.

Duties
You will develop, modify, conduct and/or oversee the presentation of the classification portfolio of the basic or /refresher supervisory training.
You will resolve difficult issues and problems requiring consideration of the total human resources programs.
You will advise managers and supervisors on structuring and/or restructuring their organizations and individual positions.
You will perform first level supervisory duties for a staff of classifiers.
You will provide technical oversight, develop performance plans and evaluate work performance of subordinates.
You will evaluate position descriptions to determine proper title, series, grade, and supervisory status for Acquisition Demonstration Project, General Schedule, Federal Wage System, Title 10 Faculty, and Cyber Excepted Service.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- Supervisors are required to serve a one-year supervisory probationary period.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assessing the impact of reorganizations related to position management; providing advice regarding position classification principles and practices; preparing evaluation statements using Office of Personnel Management classification standards to determine proper title, series, grade, and supervisory status; AND providing advice on organizational structuring to include consideration of career paths.
