You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (APPLICATIONS SOFTWARE) in the NLSC.
Duties
You will provide day-to-day administration and support for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services for Extranets and Intranet environments.
You will work with other IT team members and business customers on SharePoint projects.
You will perform full life cycle software development to include conceptual analysis, requirements analysis, design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of various web site, team sites or web parts.
You will participate in SharePoint systems integration testing and applying test results to modify specifications and correct problems and faults as they are encountered.

Qualifications
GS-12 Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:
Managing all aspects for SharePoint Administration architecture and public facing website;
Developing of strategy for optimal use of SharePoint and other collaborative tools by working with other IT team members and business customers;
Developing independently fact sheets, briefs, and advising the others on recommended system hardware and/or software upgrades;
Performing project management from initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling to closing.
Your experience must reflect skills in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
GS-11 Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:
Configuring and supporting SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services applications;
Working with teams of users in developing solutions for business problems using SharePoint and MS Office technologies;
Assisting with preparing technical specifications and justifications to support acquisition of software and hardware;
Completing business process reviews to determine what technology can be integrated to increase productivity.

Education
GS-11 Level:
a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
OR
3 full years (54 hours) of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
