This position serves as the Enterprise Information Technology Officer (EITO) in the Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC). Responsible for establishing and managing Enterprise-wide Information Technology (IT) and shore infrastructure cyber security planning, competency development (training, policy and compliance program), budget, architecture and authority, in support of achieving the goals and objectives of CNIC.
Duties
You will serve as the Enterprise Information Technology Officer (EITO) in N6 of the Commander Navy Installations Command.
You will be responsible for establishing and managing Enterprise-wide Information Technology (IT) in support of achieving the goals and objectives of CNIC.
You will serve as the CNIC EITO/N6, the incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the Enterprise's information technology and systems.
You will link the information technology strategy and capabilities with the Enterprise’s business strategy and needs.
You will be the EITO/N6 trusted agent that senior managers and supervisors rely on to direct the information technology support and provide effective and strategic use of information resources across the Enterprise.
You will provide direction and leadership in the application of information technology to support the Enterprise’s goals; and, in concert with senior managers of business processes.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 801, proficiency level expert the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: Applicants will be assessed against Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs). Failure to provide a separate narrative statement which describes fully and concisely how your experience meets the Mandatory Technical Qualifications will eliminate you from consideration.
MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Each must be addressed separately in your Supplemental Narrative Statement. Each MTQ must not exceed 2 pages.)
1. Mastery of the concepts, principles, and methods of Information Technology Management including system design, implementation, maintenance, and modification for both technical and office administrative functions.
2. Expert knowledge of policy and regulations concerning information resources life cycle management, and information resources acquisition policies and guidance.
3. Expert knowledge of ashore installation systems and related equipment characteristics in order to provide for effective Information Technology, Information Resource Management and Industrial Control System Cyber Security operations and support.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
