As a/an Records and Information Management Specialist, you will:
Facilitate the coordination of Department wide records management improvement strategies in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (ClO), private contractors and other HUD offices.
Serve as an expert in providing technical advice and assistance to Housing Offices in preparing records for transfer to Federal Records Centers.
Serve as the Assistant to the Team Leader Records Management Team providing guidance to field staff, subordinate employees, HUD officials and industry representatives.
Oversee records contractors to ensure compliance with HUD rules and regulation.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, one year of experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
Participating in efficiency studies and recommending changes or improvements in organization, staffing, work methods and procedures; AND
Identifying resources required to support varied levels of program operations; AND
Researching and investigating new or improved business and management practices for application to programs or operations.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-12 you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
