Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Budget Analyst you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Reviews and reconciles finances to monitor financial obligations and expenditures. Provides leadership and oversight relating to budgetary and financial matters to support all phases of budget/financial goals and objectives.
Analyzes financial data for organizational components to ensure they are within budgetary plans and limits. Conducts and monitors Department-wide budget execution systems.
Tracks, monitors, and analyzes budgetary and financial data and operations utilizing various software packages.
Supports budget programs for long-range management of financial resources. Communicates verbally and in writing to provide advice and assistance with budget programs.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing at least three (3) of the following:
Supporting the collection, analysis, and organization budget data and unit cost metrics by activity from service providers.
Analyzing the budget trends and presentations to financial staff, senior management, and governance board members.
Developing cost-benefit and other analyses for recommending changes in funding and budget plans.
Leading the preparation of consolidated budget tables for formulation, execution, and reporting.
Managing tracking of the status of actual fund obligations by service activity with plans and project End-of-Year (EOY) obligations against plans.
