About the Position: Serve as the Chief, Artillery and Mortar Division and principal advisor to the Joint Munitions Command (JMC) senior leadership for independent analysis, and formulation of management options that are critical to the JMC missions.

Duties

Develops or provides guidance to staff members for the development of overall program directives, policies, procedures and activities. Formulates and initiates action to bring about more effective, efficient, and economical logistical operations support. Plans work to be accomplished by team members, sets priorities, and establishes schedules for work completion. Directs and manages the conduct of broad, all-encompassing analytical studies upon which procedural and requirement determinations will be predicated.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Advanced Level certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP): Acquisition Corps Membership is no longer required for Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP)). CAP selectees must execute a 3-year tenure agreement.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementLeadershipManages and Organizes InformationPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Applicants must confirm eligibility and minimum qualification requirements within 30 calendar days of the closing date of the announcement.
