About the Position: Serves as a Management Analyst in the Manpower Division, Deputy Chief of Staff forResource Management, G-8 Redstone Arsenal, AL.

Duties

Interprets resource management decisions and policies to conduct manpower assessments and implement change management. Participates in the evaluation of missions, functions and organizational structures to develop workforce reshaping strategies. Leads analysts through the Total Army Analysis (TAA) process to defend and initiate force structure modifications. Leads analysts through the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process to reprogram and align manpower and financial data. Assesses manpower transactions to determine factors that cause changes to authorized strength levels. Provides counsel on, and participates in, the Army Command Plan (CPLAN) process to document manpower changes on TDAs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the selectee to possess or obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • A one year probation period may be required.
  • TDY may be up to 25% or less.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementInformation ManagementTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
