About the Position: This position is subject to a salary control point equivalent to the GS-14, step 10 base salary, or if the incumbent's salary currently exceeds the GS-14, step 10 level the incumbent's salary will be put on a salary control point at the incumbent's existing salary.
Duties
Establish improved budget methods, procedures, and justification used in controlling program authority and funding.
Discover and employ ways to eliminate or reduce significant obstacles pertaining to programs and supported weapon systems of funding, encouraging team building and improve business practices.
Initiate procedures for control and disbursement of formal program authorization and allocation of weapon and support systems pertaining to financial directives authorizing work.
Manage a continuous record of program authorizations and implementation status.
Require comprehensive evaluation and vast knowledge and understanding of the substantive nature of the operating programs and assigned weapon and support systems and their financial posture.
Deliver presentation/briefings on proposed policies and procedures on supported weapon systems finance are in accordance with Command objectives.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- This position requires the submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement at time of hire and on an annual basis.
- This "Key" position must not be vacated during a national emergency. You must accept that you may not take part in readiness exercises, must be removed from military recall status, and may not join a reserve unit to obtain/maintain this position?

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) managing/leading comprehensive analysis on operating programs, assigned weapons and support systems, and their financial posture; (2) manage the planning, financial review, and budget execution activities for a variety of programs; (3) provide input on contract requirement packages for weapons system programs.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13/NH-03).
