You will serve as a MANAGER which is the second level supervisor and Division Head of in the Instrumentation and Information Systems Division, PA20, within the PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.
Duties
You will integrate and manage advanced technology solutions critical to mission success through the Instrumentation and Information Systems Division.
You will oversee the management of computing network infrastructure, ensuring secure data transfer and facilitating large-scale data analysis capabilities.
You will efficiently manage IT system lifecycles across various operational environments.
You will support telemetry systems essential for analyzing and maintaining the operational readiness of key U.S. Navy weapon systems.
You will optimize data management processes through modern analytical methods and metadata practices, enhancing decision-making capabilities within the department.
You will conduct comprehensive cyber assessments to bolster cybersecurity resilience, safeguarding against evolving threats and ensuring continuous improvement in operational effectiveness and innovation.
You will oversee teams responsible for managing IT networks, communication systems, telemetry data systems, and cybersecurity measures, ensuring these systems are secure, reliable, and scalable to meet the department's needs.
You will set the strategic direction, goals, and vision for the division, ensuring that technological solutions align with the department's broader objectives.
You will drive innovation by integrating emerging technologies and best practices into the department's operations, enhancing scalability, security, and efficiency across multiple core classified RDT-and-E network environments.
You will oversee the implementation of industry best practices in networking, RF systems, and cybersecurity, ensuring that the department's IT infrastructure supports secure information transfer, data warehousing, and large-scale analysis efforts.
You will implement best practices in IT leadership, including fostering a culture of innovation, ensuring robust cybersecurity practices, and maintaining a
forward-looking approach to technology integration.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing management and oversight for an information technology program to develop polices or plans that are aligned with business and Cyber Security requirements.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
