You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist in the ACIO/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.
Duties
You will serve as the Cybersecurity (CS) Branch Head and performs first level supervisory duties.
You will be responsible for executing the Cybersecurity (CS) program; providing oversight, support and validation for information systems.
You will provide CS technical support and guidance, develops CS policy and implementation plans, and oversees the Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) program.
You will be responsible for managing, planning, controlling and directing a staff of senior and junior Cybersecurity personnel in complex and/or unusual situations related to Cybersecurity.
You will actively participates as a team lead within the local Cybersecurity Working Group and within Warfare Center and NAVSEA Cybersecurity communities of practice, and leads initiatives generated within these groups.
You will be responsible for the execution of the Branch's day to day operations and ensuring the delivery of quality products on time.
You will communicate with superiors, subordinates, and peers across the Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, and NAVSEA counterparts, as required.
You will establish objectives, sets priorities, uses internal controls, goal setting techniques, delegation, and team building to effectively manage the branch.
You will evaluate performance and provides appropriate feedback including recognizing superior performance.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, 751, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and managing information technology (IT) strategy, plans, and systems to support the implementation of a cyber security program with the missions, goals, and processes of the organization.
