Duties

You will serve as the Information Technology Project Manager for the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona Division, IT Division. You will be responsible for following through to completion all aspects of Command IT related projects to include systems, networks, telecommunications, cable infrastructure and life-cycle development phases. You will develop and execute project scopes of work, schedules, budgets, manpower, risk management, and quality assurance plans. You will provide guidance and direction to personnel from across technical, financial, and business disciplines on matters such as systems, network, telecommunications architecture, integration, requirements identification, and testing. You will support the Command information management strategy by aligning IT architecture requirements to achieve programmatic and policy goals. You will perform analysis of alternatives and develop clear executive-level presentations to support project (investment) decision making.

  • This position is a Cyber Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain qualifications in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program, February 15, 2023.
  • You will support Department of Navy Cyber Workforce policies, for work role IT Program Manager proficiency level Advanced within 9 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of IT-related experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing IT system and network architecture to develop plans and manage the delivery of IT projects in accordance with mission objectives. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
