You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST within NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will ensure that life cycle support (LCS) is tailored to meet requirements/acquisition milestones for customers
You will provide sustainment support includes relevant security controls, detailed planning, product management, and logistics documentation.
You will support comprehensive product support programs for the acquisition and or life cycle sustainment management of integrated product support functions as the senior logistics authority.
You will develop detailed logistics milestone documentation for new systems acquisition.
You will provide logistics support and technical expertise to resolve high priority life cycle logistics problems.
You will determine specific logistics requirements for all integrated product support elements.
You will ensure the accountability of assets, and data integrity, and compliance with property policies and procedures.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Managing property records in an Accountable Property System of Record (APSR);
2) Ensuring the accountability of assets, accurate financial reporting, personal property system security and data integrity, and compliance with personal property policies and procedures;
3) Preparing policies, procedures, and guidelines for implementation of a property management system.
4) Determining specific customer requirements for all integrated product support elements.
5) Providing tailored life cycle acquisition and sustainment logistics support to assigned programs.
6) Establishing, implementing, and improving internal controls for the management of property and associated financial accounting information.
