Duties
Develop integrated logistics support plans which address all the principal elements of total life-cycle planning for program.
Identify critical maintenance problems and take corrective actions or preventative measures.
Identify, plan, source, and implement maintenance concepts, operations, and requirements.
Analyze and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the supply system with respect to both logistic and operational readiness.
Participate in special studies or projects for the PM to resolve critical supply, or system sustainment problems requiring Command attention.
Identify the cause of existing or potential supply problems take corrective action or preventative measures.
Manage assigned programs to meet program cost, schedule, and performance.
Monitor the logistics support analysis program to assure definition of support criteria.
Develop or coordinate scopes of work for logistics support, with maintenance and supply, from concept through production.
Participate in the systems engineering process to influence the design throughout the life cycle, facilitating supportability to maximize the availability,
Coordinates the development of system information for use in establishing qualitative and quantitative requirements in program equipment
Represents the Program Manager at logistics meetings both with industry and with other Government Agencies, including higher authority.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Providing input to logistics documents and plans necessary to support documentation development, acquisition, production, contracting, training, fielding, or sustainment of a system; and (2) Analyzing technical documentation for configuration management and provisioning execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
