This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

Develops and integrates through Branch Chief’s and support staff long and short-term planning for the execution of ground field-level maintenance programs across the Centers of Excellence (COEs). Interprets and implements broad ground field level maintenance program and CLIX supply policies and directives promulgated by higher authority. Represents the FMX Division, Field Support Operations Directorate (FSOD), and Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) at conferences and/or committee meetings pertinent in complex maintenance matters or problems. Evaluates overall performance of subordinate leaders and all employees assigned to the Division. Provides advice, counsel, and instruction to accomplish the assigned function.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 30% of the time.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level 3 (Advanced) in the Acquisition Career Field - Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position. This position requires the selectee to remain in Federal service for at least 3 years.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position based on experience your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience in the Federal Service at the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level which includes: 1) Interpreting technical policy, procedures and regulations to ensure adherence to schedules and priorities; 2) Briefing leadership or key officials on program status and evaluate policies and proposals involving logistics support missions or programs; 3) Analyzing the impact of current activities on current and projected resources, to recommend feasible alternatives, to determine milestone events; AND 4) Establishing and/or leading teams to execute complex, multi-disciplinary logistics programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent).
