About the Position: You will serve as a Division Chief over multiple supply chain first- and second-line supervisors in Army Materiel Command (AMC). The Division Chief leads multiple supply chain workgroups toward organizational goals by developing objectives, assigning work, tracking progress, and overseeing outputs of their employees.

Duties

Directs a workforce engaged in supply chain planning and execution. Observes the operations of subordinate supervisors and workgroups through written or oral reports, correspondence review, consultation with supervisors, and personal observation. Analyzes executive information to make decisions and achieve organizational objectives. Exercises delegated managerial authority to set a series of annual, multiyear, or similar types of long-range work plans and schedules for in-service or contracted work.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
• This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 24% of the time.
• Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level 3 (Advanced) in the Acquisition Career Field - Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty.
• This is a Critical Acquisition Position. This position requires the selectee to remain in Federal service for at least 3 years.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
