You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Allocation, NRL & CNO Financial Management Branch, Code 0823 of OFFICE OF NAVAL RESEARCH.

Duties

You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will formulate the budget and estimate the support plans, programs and activities. You will develop, determinate and interpret the budget policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend cost and benefits cost and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and budgets.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 02 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or pay band (NO-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1.) Performing or advising on work in any of the performance of functions such as formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs and activities; 2.) Reviewing and evaluating budget request; 3.) Implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets; and 4.)
