You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the MATERIALS MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA. This position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level. Salary Ranges by Location: Mechanicsburg, PA: $88,659 to $161,961 Keyport, WA: $97,376 to $177,885 Newport, RI: $98,240 to $179,462 Port Hueneme, CA: $101,121 to $184,725 Crane, IN: $86,962 to $158,860 Indian Head, MD: $99,200 to $181,216

Duties

You will create, establish, or prescribe general procedures/principles/plans/courses of action for all aspects of project management supporting the Naval Sea Logistics Center (NSLC) Material Readiness Department. You will ensure audit readiness of over 230k lines of Operating Materials and Supplies (OMS) material. You will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of NSLC OMS material management operations consisting of over 600 employees in 22 locations. You will ensure audit readiness through trend analysis, network-level corrective actions, and oversight of auditors and audit teams.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or NT-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and analyzing Operating Materials and Supplies programs for audit readiness or budget management for an organization.
