About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Combat Service and Combat Services Support Readiness and Sustainment (R&S) Directorate. The referral list(s) generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in other organizations throughout the ILSC in Warren, MI.
Duties
Maintain continuous liaison with concerned personnel to fully coordinate pertinent information relative to assigned programs.
Manage a comprehensive program of logistical support.
Develop logistic plans to assure integration of various logistic functions in support of assigned vehicles or projects.
Participates in the development of basic budgetary requirements for adequate logistics support of assigned systems.
Serves as the principal point of contact for all logistics support activities for assigned vehicle systems.
Evaluate and coordinate efforts of functional specialists for each IPS element identifying requirements, developing plans, and managing programmatic schedules.
Assess system deployment plans to assure that distribution and support planning is substantive and accurate.
Requirements
- Position requires business travel up to 25% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Working with a team to develop integrated logistics support plans as part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT); (2) Developing logistics scope of work requirements for new acquisition contracts or interagency support agreements; (3) Providing logistical support to a program office designed around the 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements; and (4) Developing technical data (such as technical manuals, provisioning, and training) to meet program materiel release requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
