About the Position: Serves as Program Analyst for food service systems within the Army Center of Excellence,Subsistence (ACES), Director of Operations with assigned responsibility for receiving, consolidating,reviewing, verifying, analyzing and evaluating program and management data of the Department ofthe Army Food Service Program/Systems.
Duties
Collects, consolidates reviews, verifies, and analyzes Army Food Service Program reports from active Army installations and Reserve Component commands worldwide.
Identifies potential and actual problem areas and develops plans of action for corrective actions to established food program reports, based on analysis and evaluation to achieve identified objectives.
Designs, documents, implements, and tests system in support of the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) development environment and in support of the AFMIS users based on functional/technical requirements.
Responds to inquiries received from installations, major commands, and higher headquarters, and provides guidance and policy clarification to reporting activities.
Assists Software Engineering Center with testing assigned programs and validates conformance with specifications and standards. Participates in formal inspections, software reviews, demos, and software tests.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 50% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing food service program management and oversight to ensure timely operational support and integration of new logistical or changing concepts and coordinate the development of annual food service program budget and tracks execution of food service program funding. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
