About the Position: Serves as Senior Management Analyst for Multi-functional logistics organizational design and force structure requirements. Responsible for the development of analytics and visualization of data for the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Army Futures Command (AFC) and the Department of the Army (DA) in support of the force development update process and Total Army Analysis process.
Duties
Plan and direct analyses and/or studies related to sustainment operations: Based on assignment of an analysis or study project, plans work requirements and personnel needs.
Make distribution of work, outlines scope of assignments, and ensure completed work complies with established standards.
Assure uniform application of all administrative and operating policies and procedures, coordination of all related responsibilities, resolution of problems encountered in day-to-day operations, etc.
Provide guidance and advice and/or renders decisions on specific problems identified by the study team members.
Independently, or as a project team lead, analyze, evaluate, and review concepts, organizations, systems, and/or procedures for sustainment of the Army which is prepared by the division and other elements of CASCOM, TRADOC, DA, or DOD.
Ascertain, depict, and critique complex logistical organizational and operational structures, and their interplay and significance with respect to their technical features, their compatibility to their environment.
Evaluate the purpose, intent, coverage, and appropriateness of materiel to support objectives of the projects.
Determine their application to the matter under consideration; and prepare or collaborate in the preparation of written or oral recommendations and present such briefings as required.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Must be able to travel overnight within 1 to 2 weeks notice and operate a government sedan or rental car while traveling.
- Must possess or obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license, and any installation, DOD and/or Federal license or certification required for vehicle operated.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year experience at the GS-12 level in force management and analytical and evaluative methods and possess a comprehensive understanding of requirements and authorizations for numbers and types of equipment and personnel impact data for capability studies and identification of organizational improvements; experience providing expert guidance and information regarding force integration support and documentation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
