Duties
Assists the Chief of Staff to synchronize, organize, and direct all staff functions supporting over 8,700 military and civilian personnel including 33 SES and 5 Flag/General Officers, a $11 billion annual budget, and 31 field activities worldwide.
Represents the Chief of Staff in meetings with senior management in DISA, DoD, Joint Staff, and other federal and non-federal agencies.
Principal interface between the Director/Deputy Director, DISA and the staff, DoD CIO and JFHQ-DODIN managing the day-to-day administrative operations of DISA.
Develops policies to facilitate DISA staff coordination with OSD, Joint Staff, DoD, Combatant Commands, and the Services.
Creates business processes that support the mission of the Agency and streamline the synchronization of actions and all aspects of the Agency.
Performs supervisory duties directing a highly skilled and diverse workforce and oversee all of the special advisors to the Director.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-14within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as experience directing and managing organizational administrative programs responsible for regulatory, administrative, policy development, and operational support; and experience in conducting executive level briefings.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social).
