About the Position: This position located at Ft. Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. This is a TERM position not to exceed 2 years. This position is a TERM position that may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, TERM appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.

Duties

Maintains administrative requirements per regulations, policies, and/or procedures concerning student pay vouchers, follow on-training, student processing, and billeting requirements, academic failures, and all required reports. Focuses on student records from, resource management, logistics, human resources, and training. Prepares briefing charts ranging from simple word charts to complex charts with integrated graphics. Resolves problems in student training, pay/IMS debit cards and pay vouchers, travel, billeting, graduation, etc. by making appropriate recommendation. Serves as an advisor for the Security Assistance Training Program (SATP) to include administration, training, modifications, training management and student disposition. Obtaining and using a wide variety of information to resolve substantive problems involving international students in accordance with Department of the Army guidance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret Security Clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Govt issued driver's license to operate a 15-passenger van for student transportation day and night.

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
