About the Position: This is a Fort Novosel, AL position with duty at Eglin AFB, FL.
Duties
Brief organizational leadership informing them of program effectiveness and productivity.
Spot check samples to ensure they are packaged in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Develop training courses for Unit Prevention Leaders to ensure adherence to all regulations and policies.
Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct operations of the Installation Drug Testing Collection Point (IDCP).
Requirements
- May be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent will be certified by the DA DTC Certification Course within 9 months of assuming their duties.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- Term employment is subject to a one year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level which includes reviewing routine reports and identifying discrepancies, trends, or problems; performing collection, packaging, shipping and tracking of specimens; preparing clear and concise reports describing collection techniques; safeguarding sensitive testing information; and maintaining current and accurate office and drug testing records.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
