About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Capability Development Specialist for the Maneuver Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate (MCDID).
Position will be hired at the DE-03 CAT II level which covers GS-13 Step 1 to GS-14 Step10.
Duties
Identifying, integrating, and tracking Joint Capability and Integration Development System (JCIDS) processes between the MCDID and Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA)and Joint and Army capability development agencies.
Developing future force maneuver that includes combat vehicles, lethality, robotics, and Soldier OCIE capabilities to enable mission success across all domains and the range of military operations.
Identifying capability gaps, integrating the key elements of a capability, and managing the capability through its lifecycle.
Ensuring the plans and programs for the MCDID related to capability development actions required for system development and fielding are properly coordinated and resourced.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a two year supervisor probationary period.
- Business/TDY travel up to 25% of the time.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE-02 or GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service which includes: 1) applying knowledge of maneuver support operations organizations, tactics, existing equipment capabilities, user input, and experimentation to ensure system requirements in documentation will resolve the initial battlefield gaps; 2) applying knowledge of military combat operations, organizations, tactics, and existing equipment capabilities to ensure system requirements will support operations; 3) planning, organizing, and directing multi-functional, multi-organizational team studies; and 4) utilizing analytical and evaluative methods to assess, improve, and integrate Joint capabilities development processes.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02/GS-11).
