You will serve as a in the FINANCIAL MANGEMENT ANALYST in the Military Sealift Command of MSC SHIP SUPPORT UNIT SAN DIEGO.

Duties

You will create estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will interpret budget policies and organizational accounting and financial administrative procedures. You will perform specialized work involving the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) accounting systems. You will perform fiscal accounting and financial management duties and responsibilities. You will create funding documents for various DoD customers. You will manage multiple activities, projects, priorities, and people in a dynamic, fast-growing, results-driven environment.

Requirements

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

For GS-09 I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is described as: Experience operating within managerial and administrative tasks that optimize accounting systems for greater efficiency. Experience recognizing resource management funding and where to are allocate and utilized strategically. Experience using variety of fiscal practices and responsibilities that contribute to the overall financial stability of the organization. • Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree

Or

• 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
