You will serve as a Lead Financial Administrative Support Specialist for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Capital Access (OCA), Disaster Administrative Services Division (DASD) in Herndon, Virginia. This position provides comprehensive support in the areas of property accountability, facilities and lease management, records management and reconciliation as well as building security and Personnel Identification Verification (PIV) cards.
Duties
As Lead Financial Administrative Support Specialist at the GS-0301-12, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Lead specialists in the Financial Operations Branch Logistics area.
Provides comprehensive support in the areas of property accountability, facilities and lease management, telecommunications, records management, building security and Personnel Identification Verification (PIV) cards.
Monitors and enforces property accountability policies and procedures. Ensures that routine and emergency maintenance of facilities and leased vehicles is performed.
Assist supervisor with the activities of work in Department's duties to ensure an even flow and distribution of work.
Implements and monitors policies and procedures for acquiring supplies and services for all of OCA and ODR&R Centers. All requests must be in adherence to Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) for purchasing supplies and equipment, printing, and other services, such as leasing vehicles and facilities.
Assist with maintaining production and error reports; tracks and discusses discrepancies with team members.

Mandatory Overtime: In order to respond quickly and efficiently to disaster survivors, substantial compensated overtime hours may be required heighten Disaster Activities.
If required to travel to a disaster site, you may encounter hazardous working and/or living conditions, for example, no water or electricity and/or minimal lodging facilities.
A valid driver's license may be required.
DASD is located in the business area of Herndon, VA. It is conveniently located near various eateries and shops and is accessible via public transportation.

Qualifications
Experience:

GS-12: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
Experience in at least two (2) of the following administrative areas within a financial administrative program: Property Accountability, Telecommunications, Records Management & Reconciliation, Physical Security/Facilities Management; and
Interpreting and applying laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to administrative services functions within a financial administrative program; and
Using desktop productivity applications such as web browsers, email, spreadsheets, and word processing designed to accomplish and manage the work of the department or organization; and
Leading projects, or a team/staff of diverse employees in the day-to-day administrative and program support operations for an organization/office; and
Providing customer service to internal and/or external customers; assessing needs, providing information or assistance, and resolving problems; and
Identifying organizational, procedural and/or production issues and providing recommendations for improvement within a department or organization.
