About the Position: About the Position: This position is located with the I Corps Senior CDR AUG, G-8 Resource Management Program & Budget Division, on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.
Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (2) years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years.

Duties
Computes the rates of receipt, obligation, and expenditures of funds.
Prepares a variety of reports covering the status of funds and advises program managers and other management officials on the availability of funds.
Provides updates to Supervisory Budget Analyst and updates Command and staff at supported unit
Reviews estimates submitted by program managers for compliance with rules, regulations and procedures.
Manages components of the supported unit fiscal management function.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Must obtain and maintain Financial Management Certification Level 2 within two years of appointment.
- Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned ,unscheduled overtime and some weekends.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes : 1) Performing routine technical and administrative support to an organization regarding the budget; 2) Interpret discrepancies and resolve budgetary issues; AND 3) Submitting requests for budget resources. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Finance, Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Analysis.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
