About the Position: This position is located with the US Army Sustainment Command 404th Army Field Support Brigade in the S-8 Resource Management Office at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
Duties
Evaluate programmed distribution of available funds submitted by program directors against mission and workload objectives to ensure proper balance of
funds distributed to support mission requirements.
Analyze trends in fund utilization and prepares status reports depicting causes for major deviations from programmed targets.
Serve as GFEBS and GCSS-A user and acts as coordinator for training and access to both systems.
Coordinate with higher headquarters for GFEBS role assignments.
Generate reports to estimate supply cost and project obligations.
Interpret budget policies, directives, and regulations received from higher headquarters, and publishes local implementing
directives.
Emphasize and explain budget limitations, program requirements, and directives.
Analyze program and budget guidance and instructions from higher headquarters to determine impact on operations.
Requirements

- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (Secret) Security investigation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems such as the development of alternative methods of funding; 2) formulating budget estimates for multi-year programs that may change to the extent that substantial re-budgeting is required each year; and 3) developing and administering of budget execution plans subject to fluctuating revenues and changing demand for services which necessitate reprogramming throughout the fiscal year. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
