You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST for the STRATEGIC ANALYSIS BRANCH in the COMPLIANCE and STRATEGIC ANALYSIS DIVISION, SUPPLY DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will serve as a first level supervisor/manager of Strategic Analysis Branch.
You will assume the responsibilities of the Compliance and Strategic Analysis Division Head in his/her absence when required.
You will apply qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvements of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems.
You will be responsible for the work of assign personnel you will perform the full range of supervisory and managerial responsibilities.
You will assign work to administrative staff members in accordance with establish organization mission and functions workload functionality and personnel availability.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience exercising overall responsibility to ensure all material required for the repair and alteration of ships during availabilities are ordered, expedited, received, and inspected to support production schedules.
* Experience providing logistics authoritative guidance and administrative supervision over a core team of civilian employees and contractors of diverse disciplines.
* Experience developing and initiating administrative procedures and controls to ensure that the waterfront material support analyses are performed in an orderly manner within the time and budget constraints.
* Experience reviewing all work planned, in progress, and completed to ensure supply program operations are managed in support of production schedule needs.
* Experience conducting studies to analyze the interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of substantive mission-oriented programs.
* Experience developing and analyzing material readiness metrics and providing briefings to management.
