You will serve as a Human Systems Lead V-22, General Engineer and Interdisciplinary Scientist in the Human Systems Engineering Department
Systems Engineering & Integration Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will develop and manage a comprehensive program for substantial modifications or updates of assigned less than major systems which require development efforts equivalent to the engineering and manufacturing development phase.
You will ensure that state of the art systems engineering practices are being employed by both contractor and government team members in the execution of the program.
You will be a critical element in support of NAVAIR program offices (PMAs) with capacity to ascertain technical truth and apply best engineering/technical judgment in all aspects of product design, development, acquisition, and maintenance.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Functions as program/project expert or coordinates support for Human Factors Engineering (HFE); Manpower, Personnel, and Training (MP&T); health hazards; safety factors; medical factors; personnel (or human) survivability factors; and habitability considerations. As such, applies those elements of human systems integration during design, development, prototyping, integration, acquisition, production, and in-service support of transformational technologies for Training, Aviation Life Support and Survival Systems.

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included a major field of study or specific course requirements generally as stated in paragraph A in the individual occupational requirements OPM qualification standard. Where specific course requirements are not indicated in paragraph A, the number of semester hours required to constitute a major field of study is the amount specified by the college or university attended. If this number cannot be obtained, 24 semester hours will be considered as equivalent to a major field of study. The nature and quality of this required course work must have been such that it would serve as a prerequisite for more advanced study in the field or subject-matter area. Related course work generally refers to courses that may be accepted as part of the program major.

Combination: Education and Experience. Bachelor of Science Degree and/or Master of Science Degree (desired) with coursework in Aeronautics, Aerospace Science, and Engineering and/or Technical Management disciplines. Additionally, employee must have experience performing duties in an assignment and scope as traditionally performed by employees who have been classified in Engineer or Scientist job series, e.g., 1301, 0180, 1515, 0413, etc.
