You will serve as an Engineering Psychologist in the Commander Group, Executive Director Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will demonstrate outstanding technical leadership in a frontier area which influences major projects, proposals, and the direction of major work.
You will direct research in aviation systems for naval aviation and enterprise regarding overall policy, planning and implementation of advanced concepts and systems applications or emerging new technology.
You will be educating the workforce on the Human Systems Performance (HSP) technical area and providing guidance for the development of technical solutions to solve warfighter gaps.
You will engage in research, development, test, and evaluation; production process development; quality control; sustainment; or other technically sophisticated activities who meet the criteria are eligible for nomination to the Fellows Program.
You will accomplish other duties as assigned.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Work schedule for this position will be on a part-time basis as designated by agency guidelines.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (DP-12/13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1.Planning and directing aviation survivability and human system performance programs to ensure continued success; 2. Providing turnover to newly identify champion and assistance in the solicitation process of technical personnel for special agency programs (e.g. Fellows Program, SMART Program, etc.); and 3. Defining program/project objectives, interpreting policies determining their effect on program needs, and exercising independent discretion and judgement to support agency goals and objectives.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
You have successfully completed a degree with a major or equivalent in psychology for a specialization other than clinical or counseling psychology.
or
You have successfully completed all the requirements for a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
or
You have successfully completed 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or successfully completed all the requirements for a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology in an accredited educational institution.
