You will serve as a ENGINEERING PSYCHOLOGIST in the COMMANDER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duty Station: Patuxent River, MD
Duties
You will demonstrate outstanding technical leadership in a frontier area which influences major projects, proposals, and the direction of major work.
You will direct research in aviation systems for naval aviation and enterprise in regard to overall policy, planning and implementation of advanced concepts and systems applications or emerging new technology.
You will be educating the workforce on the HSP technical area and providing guidance for the development of technical solutions to solve warfighter gaps.
You will engage in research, development, test, and evaluation; production process development; quality control; sustainment; or other technically sophisticated activities who meet the criteria are eligible for nomination to the Fellows Program
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Planning and directing aviation survivability and human system performance programs to ensure continued success; 2. Providing turnover to newly identify champion and assistance in the solicitation process for the next round of fellows; and 3. Defining objectives, interpreting policies determining their effect on program needs, exercising a wide degree of independent discretion and judgement.

A. Have successfully completed a degree with a major or equivalent in psychology for a specialization other than clinical or counseling psychology.

Have successfully completed all the requirements for a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology..
or
Have successfully completed 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or successfully completed all the requirements for a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology in an accredited educational institution
